Last Two Days in Santee for This Winter

Roger's been working hard the last two days putting away all of our outside paraphernalia, dumping tanks, fixing a water heater leak, getting the truck washed, airing up the tires, lubricating the wheel bearings and the hitch, and just generally making certain everything is put away and/or ready to roll tomorrow.  He's a tired puppy tonight.

I spent the last two days Spring cleaning and putting away "stuff" that is out such as candles, lamps, etc. while we sit but can't be out when we are on the road or they would be flying all over and probably not survive a trip.  We both worked on the laundry tonight after dinner, so we are good to go there.  No hurry to find a laundry facility.  We are stocked up on the important groceries - berries, bananas, eggs, cheese, and, of course, cookies.  We found some pumpkin cookies at the Sprouts - bought three bags to take with us!!

We stopped and visited with the neighbors this afternoon, exchanging emails and wishes for safe travels.  (Everyone's coming back next year, except the Michigan folks who will be wintering in Florida as their daughter is moving there from here.)  Everyone's got the same sites lined up, so it'll be like old home week when we get here in November.

It's been warm - finally.  Sunny and high 70s but quite cool at night.  It looks like we are headed to even warmer weather in the Yuma area.

We don't have far to go tomorrow - less than 200 miles - so will take our time in the morning.  No leaving before we normally get up :-)   We are ready to go looking forward to a change of scenery.
