A Day at the Beach

We had a picnic lunch outside the RV and then went to the beach today.  It was fun watching the kids have fun!  Kinsey is a little mermaid and loves the water.  Thank goodness Ryan was there to keep up with her.  They had a couple hours of fun and Kinsey even found a couple of kids to play in the sand with. Then - she got stung by a jellyfish.  She's got quite the welt on her thigh.  Fortunately when it happened Andy was in the water with her, saw what happened and got her out right away.  It was a small jellyfish and Andy said he only saw one,  but one was enough.  She was in pain. We packed up and came back to RV, washed her down good, gave her a half of Benedryl, and put cortisone cream on her leg. In an hour she was fine and bouncing around playing with Maggie and wanting more food. Ryan had to take off and go to work, but it was nice seeing him today.  He's a busy boy with school and a job.  Until the jellyfish sting everyone was having a great time.

The temperatures were cooler today and it was a bit windy on the beach.  Not that I would know first hand, because I didn't go in, but the water was pretty chilly today.  Kids don't mind, but Andy did say it was uncomfortable with the wind.  

Tomorrow the kids have weekend errands to do to prepare for their work week so we won't see them.  We have company coming on Monday for four days so will see little of the family next week.  We are discussing having dinner together on Tuesday as our friends want to "meet the family", so hopefully that will work out.
