A Nice Day with Pam and Ben

I tried to take pictures, but they refused.  So, no candid shots of us having fun to post tonite.

Rog and I spent a quiet morning - almost like home - tea and the news on our phones and then breakfast.  I bought sheets yesterday at the Camping World, so I did have to do a load of laundry.

Then the kids showed up around noon and we spent the afternoon talking, eating, talking, playing cards and Triominoes, eating, and talking.  Pam taught us a new card game - Phase 10 - which she learned when our granddaughter, Stephanie, visited her a week ago.  We ended up having to use our "life line" and call Stephanie once because Grandma wanted to make a play that wasn't allowed.  I didn't believe Pam, so we called on our guru.

We just moved our chairs to follow the shade and had a nice pleasant afternoon.   Ben snoozed off and on, Roger read his book while Pam and I "chick chatted" as he called it.   It was a very relaxing day.  The weather was hot, then the thunder clouds moved in and cooled us off but we got no rain.  It was really nice sitting outside after dinner and before dark.

Ben had an idea about what might be wrong with the connector to the propane bottle - a bad O ring.  Tomorrow morning we will go back to Camping World and return the fitting that was the wrong size and then go to the propane place that was closed on Saturday with our tank to see if they can check it/fix it/certify it/whatever so that we can be safe.

Pam and Ben are bringing pizza for lunch tomorrow and will only stay a little while as we need to prep for travel on Tuesday morning.

Maggie enjoyed all the attention she got today and the minute Pam and Ben left she crashed.  She was a busy girl this afternoon.  Rog and I are tired, too.  Not used to being social all day long!!!
