Whatever it was that got to Maggie yesterday seems to have disappeared. She wants to eat anything and everything. She wants to play ball. She wants to sniff out ground squirrels and she has to be in my lap when I am working on the computer. Yep, back to normal.
Lots of sightings of our hawk today. It was pretty busy hunting. It probably has a nest with some babies to feed. It really was awesome watching it riding the wind today with it's tail and wings totally spread out. It is so beautiful - as long as it stays away from Maggie.
No walk today - WIND.
We went to Walmart this morning to get Roger some puzzles to work on. He spent the afternoon in the shed listening to his book and working on one of them when he wasn't taking Maggie out for walks.
I did some computer work - trying to move files around so they are more organized and retrievable. When we got the new phones the other day we switched carriers and needed to show a copy of Roger's DD214 which says he was in the military to get a 15% discount to vets. I have scanned them in and put them in "the cloud" for just such an event. Well, do you think I could retrieve it? One of the reasons we were there so long was me trying to find it, retrieve it and email it to the clerk who was helping us. Fortunately she was young and tech savvy and was able to get a copy for their records. I also did some software updates and some shopping this afternoon.
I found rings that we both like and ordered them today. They are coming from a jeweler in New York through Amazon (of course). It'll be a week or so before we get them. Yellow gold and cobalt two-toned bands. Supposedly hand made. We had to do a little research on the cobalt as we had never heard of it being material used for jewelry. Turns out it is an up and coming thing like titanium and tungston rings. More durable than gold and sterling silver but looks like white gold. So, sure hope we like them once they get here.
I took the rug we have down in the living room outside today and scrubbed it down after yesterday's doggie tummy upset. It looks like it will be ok and the spots did come out. We are letting it dry in the sun and wind. I really soaked it so it will be tomorrow before it's completely dry. Maggie doesn't like the bare floor so we need to get it back down soon.
Hoping for a walk tomorrow. It's supposed to be another beautiful day minus the wind.
