Lincoln Continental vs Rolls Royce

I have to make a correction to yesterday's posting.  Apparently I can't tell the back end of a Lincoln from a Rolls Royce.  Yep, that dude with the big rig and trike is driving a Rolls.  We saw him go out today in it.  We have a hard time believing the whole thing, but now we've seen it with our own eyes.

Today is Tuesday - my regular Silver Sneakers gym class at our local gym.  So, after two weeks of putting it off, I got out the weights and resistance bands and a list of exercises that Amber, our leader, kindly gave me before I left.  It calls for 3 sets of 15 reps.  I did get one set done and then went on to a few back/core exercises.  Felt good after sitting around for so long.  Now, if I can just be disciplined enough to keep it up 2 or 3 times a week.  I might even get back up to 3 sets, maybe.

I got my cardio workout in by walking back and forth to the laundry room today.  Everyone was doing their laundry, so my loads were staggered (only 3 washers in the clubhouse facility and 4 in the auxiliary facility for about 140 sites) and it took most of the afternoon - just like at home.

It was cold and windy - about 50 today.  The sun was shining, but that wind sure was rough.  I don't know if you can tell by the flag and the palm tree, but it was blowing at a pretty good clip today.  We are expecting below freezing temps tonight.  The maintenance guys were going around turning off sprinklers and drip systems today.  I don't think it gets this cold very often.  Leave it to us to pick the week they do!

About 4:00 I started whining about having to come up with something for dinner so Rog suggested pizza.  Unfortunately, there are no local places in the neighborhood we would go to, so we headed to the food court on base and had some less than optimal slices of "pizza".  (We are getting used to Roger's homemade and anything else just doesn't cut it, but this was the best we could find.)  So....  we had to find dessert and one of the vendors just happened to have some.  Oh, darn.

So, we are in for the night, curled up on the couch with the Maggie Dog and our afghans.  Not sure what will be on the agenda tomorrow.
