Absolutely Nothing Happening

The furnace worked all night with no problems.  Keep your fingers crossed it will continue to do so. (Chuck: thanks for the hint about the propane leak detector in the furnace - I checked and ours doesn't have one.  One more possibility checked off the list.)

It's about 3:30, the sun is finally peeking out of the clouds but the wind is still pretty strong.  We had mid 50's temps today with overcast skies, wind and light rain up until a few minutes ago. We got out a few time between the rain drops but no long walks today.

Even Maggie was bored sitting inside today.  She watches the pigeons and other dogs outside but today I caught her sleeping instead.  She has a perfectly good bed right there, but sleeps like a cat on the back of the couch.

Roger and I both felt a bit silly this morning.  We were sitting at the table having breakfast and I looked behind me to Maggie's bed on the sofa and she wasn't there.  I looked around and didn't see her.  I asked Rog where she was and he got up and went to the bedroom and checked it and the bathroom.  No Maggie. Now, you tell me where she could go in this 342 square feet of RV.  We found ourselves being a bit anxious and confused.  I got up and started looking.  No dog.   I called her name and she came out from under the empty chair on Roger's side of the table looking at us with a "what's the problem" look on her face. How silly to lose a dog in the RV!

The WIFI is not strong at all here, despite there being towers everywhere.  I have to use my hotspot on the phone and my cell data to do the blog.  Sometimes I can do my WORD games but I find that I lose the WIFI signal and don't realize it.  Then the next time I open it up it shows I haven't played, so I must have lost the signal in the middle of my play without realizing it. Very frustrating.  Can't get emails with attachments and reading my news apps on my iPad is ok if you don't want pictures but the articles take forever to download. Maybe that's a good thing - not seeing the news?  Anyway,  Rog obviously can't watch YouTube or Ted Talks, let alone a Netflix movie. He says it's hard to entertain yourself without the internet.  (We don't turn on the TV during the day - a practice we've had for many years.) We are so spoiled and obviously addicted.  It is a real eye opener on how much we depend on the internet for entertainment during the day -  as well as being information.  We do have the data plan and hotspot for when we need it, but we find ourselves  having to read, do sudoku or crossword puzzles, listen to audio books and, for me, crochet work.  We actually are talking to each other, too!

The weather is looking better for next week - maybe we will be able to get out and do some exploring. SURE HOPE SO!!!
